Issue:
Machines that are not connected to the internet can't automatically update threat definitions.
Note: Machine must have an agent installed in order to complete this process.
Resolution:
1. Refresh the files on the Console machine by selecting the ‘Help’ menu and then choosing the ‘Refresh Files’ option.
Note: Threat definitions download as a background task. This process can take a few minutes to complete.
2. On the Console machine browse to the ThreatData folder. By default the threat definitions are located in the following folders:
Protect 9:
Windows 2003/XP: C:\Documents & Settings\All Users\Application Data\Shavlik Protect\Console\ThreatData
Windows 7, 8, 2008, & 2012: C:\ProgramData\LANDesk\Shavlik Protect\Console\ThreatData
Protect 8:
Windows 2003/XP: C:\Documents & Settings\All Users\Application Data\Shavlik Technologies\NetChk\ThreatData
Windows 7, 8, 2008, & 2012: C:\ProgramData\Shavlik Technologies\NetChk\ThreatData
3. Copy all of the files from this directory to your USB thumb drive, or other removable data source.
4. Copy the files from your removable data source to the agent machine within the following directory:
Protect 9:
Windows 2003/XP: C:\Documents & Settings\All Users\Application Data\LANDesk\Shavlik Protect\Agent\Threat\ThreatData
Windows 7, 8, 2008, & 2012: C:\ProgramData\LANDesk\Shavlik Protect\Agent\Threat\ThreatData
