My Windows Update services was advertising the following patches.
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - October 2015 (KB890830)
Security Update for Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Edition (KB3042058)
Security Update for Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Edition (KB3097966)
I let Shavlik Protect scan and deploy updates for a few weeks... assuming these patches would be deployed, and would vanish from my Windows Update information pop up.
However, this did not occur.
I then scanned a specific server, which required these three updates, using the WUScan in Shavlik Protect, and it came back and said that there were no patches available. It also said there were 197 patches Installed in the Installed Patch Count. I then ran Windows Update, installed the three patches above, and rebooted the server.
I re-ran the WUScan patch scan, and it now said there were 196 patches installed. That's weird but not the main concern.
I just wanted to know why those patches are not detected, that are available via Windows Update. They have been available for some time.
